I had to laugh.....

It was one of those moments I had to laugh, otherwise I would have cried. Two nights ago, I warned Nolan that if Brylie was going to use markers he needed to be paying special attention because she had a tendency to write on other things besides her coloring book. They did great and had a daddy-daughter moment.

However, yesterday I was doing dishes and thought she was playing with her kitchen. I went to check on her to find out that the markers had never made it to the high drawer like I thought. They were scattered on the floor, a few without lids. Diesel was chewing up the yellow one, and it was utterly destroyed. I sent him to his crate and picked up the markers, putting lids on and stashing them in their rightful place. Then i noticed the color that had been added to Brylie's foot. I asked her if she had colored on her foot, and she lifted her shirt to reveal a rainbow of swirly toddler art all over her belly. I picked her up to take her to get cleaned up and dressed and saw it..... my couch had been deeply spotted with purple, blue, green and red. It was not only on the cushion but along the seam. I wasn't sure if I should laugh for cry...

"Sol-u-mel" my business partner and friend Natasha said since I was relaying my story as I discovered it in between training calls. So I used it and the spots were gone! I was again so thankful for this company, its products, and my home business!

Lots and lots of Changes

Oh my!

You know when it seems like change is RAINING down on you in one chunk of time? I am so there!

We will be moving to Washington for sure sometime between now and January. We just found out today that Nolan will have training in Texas for about a month. Don't know yet when but we should know by August.

I have become a vegan. I know, its hard to believe and impossible to imagine, but I am. For more info on why, check out my health journal at http://healthylivingchronicles.blogspot.com

Several of my friends are moving very soon. It makes me sad. I will miss Shannon and Amanda.... but at least I will see Shannon in Washington.

And of course, on a positive note, I just got my Melaleuca call! I am officially a Director and will be receiving my promotion and bonus! :D I am so excited!

The Sneeze... Brought me to tears!

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt. Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away tears.

This class would NOT pray during the commencements, not by choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it.

The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families. The speeches were nice, but they were routine until the final speech received a standing ovation.

A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened. All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED !!!!

The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said, “GOD BLESS YOU.” And he walked off the stage. The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval.

AMEN!

Puppy softness with ProCare!

Last month, we got Diesel's (our puppy) his first hair cut so he would be cooler in San Diego's humid and hot summer months. Anyone who has ever raised a dog from puppyhood knows that once the hair is cut, it looses that baby softness and gets a little course. He was the cutest little thing when his hair was shorter, looking like a little boy with a buzz cut. But that rough coat just wasn't the same to pet.

Well yesterday for the first time since his hair cut, I gave him a bath. Of course I used Pro Care Pet Shampoo. Even though the label has absolutely NO claim to soften the hair or condition it, I can proclaim that his fur is SO much softer and smoother then it was before his bath. And he smells good too! I love this shampoo and I recommend it to any pet owners. Its chemical free and does the job at only $7.50 for preferred customers!

smaller version Diesel's 1st haircut
Isn't he a handsome boy? :)

Name brand products are hurting unborn children!!!

CNN has done a story on the associations between newborns and unborn children's diseases and conditions and the chemicals the mother uses in products around the home!!! All I have to say is THANK GOD for Melaleuca and the awesome products I use without any harsh chemicals in them! This story gave me goosebumps and made my stomach sick. If you want to throw out the chemicals that are contaminating your body and your children's, call me or email me with "I'm ready" in the subject line! Real Prayer

My daughter amazes me every night. Each night I ask her what she wants to thank God for so we can include them in our prayers. She always says such simple things. Too often, I thank God only for the big things such as answered prayers, financial miracles or blessings, etc... but how humbling is it to realize God wants us to pray about everything and thank him for everything!

Tonight, Brylie thanked God for horses, Papa, the numbers 4, 7, & 8, and her blanket. All I could think was AWWWWW!

Lemon Brite Bubbles

I am one of those moms that would throw out the tv and replace it with a bookshelf full of good reads if it were an option. I would do almost anything to get my 2 year old daughter outside! My best weapon against the tv since the weather has been warm (which in San Diego was in February) has been bubbles. Both she and Diesel our aussie shepherd love it. She blows them and diesel jumps up to bite them.

A few weeks back, I had the misfortune of running out of bubbles and not having any cash on hand or in our account. Nolan had withdrawn it for groceries later that afternoon. So even my usual run up to the dollar store wasn't an option. Brylie was whining of boredom and I just knew if I didn't pull out a surprise soon, it was going to get ugly. I had already worn out the hidden area of the closet where we keep toys for just such an occassion. Even the water doodle wasn't having its usual success.

"what am I going to do?" I thought as Brylie lapsed into another boredom fit. How in the world do moms with twins handle this? lol. Then I thought... I wonder if the lemon brite will blow bubbles like other dish soaps? It is concentrated, so I thought maybe it would be too thick. But it worked! Lemon brite bubbles saved the day! :)

My prayer for all

Dear Lord,
I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things that are of you. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over, as it is the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak . Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those that don't believe.
I thank you that I believe. I believe that you change people and you change things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers, and for each and every family member in their household. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes, that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it.

In Christ's Holy name, Amen.

What the Magic Eraser can't do, Tub and Tile CAN!

It had been a long couple of weeks: early mornings taking my husband to work, long days of errands, doctor's appointments, and social engagements. So yesterday morning I took the opportunity to put my daughter in bed with me and catch another hour of sleep. Lo and behold, I awoke to an empty bed. In the living room I could hear the high pitched laughter of Elmo and a my daughter doing something with paper on our coffee table.

"OH NO" I thought as I catapulted out of bed and rushed to assess the damage. Pink post-it notes were stuck to every piece of furniture in the front room. As I got closer I could see a metallic scribble on each one. And the only metallic pen I own is a silver shimmer sharpie. My heart flew to my throat.

My daughter looked up and said "morning" in a mimic of our morning routine. She gave me a hug and pulled me toward my desk. Pointing to the floor, she said, "mommy, pretty?" There, shining from the wood floor was her silver LARGE art piece, a permanent mark on our rental home's new hardwood. The last permanent marker experience was on the wall and it took over three days of scrubbing with a magic eraser to get it off. I had momentary flashbacks as I considered what my next step should be. I HATED the magic eraser. It stank and made my hands burn last time I used it. I immediately began a mental inventory of all the cleaning products I had. And as soon as I did, my company's tub and tile was the best i could come up with. I sprayed it on, all the while praying it would come of. Then I grabbed a paper towel and a scrub brush. With just a few scrubs, it came off the floor as though it was nothing more then some dirt that had been blown into the house!

Just one more reason to love these products! :) Try them for yourself, just ask me how!

Deviating to chemicals wasn't worth it!

When my friend Renee moved back to Texas, she gave me all of her cleaning products and the food that was left in her freezer. I was happy for the free items, it will save me a little money. We can all use a little help in the financial department.

One of the items she gave me was a certain dishwashing soap that was supposed to "renew" the skin of the hands of the user. I had always wondered if it would work so I was guiltily and eagerly excited to try it. And of course, my hands were so used to the natural ingredients of my company's lemon brite dishwashing soap that my hands dried out almost immediately after using the chemical filled soap from Renee. I couldn't believe it!

Moral of the story: When you find the best, don't deviate!

Why "high-fives"?

I have always wanted to have a blog but I didn't know what I would write about. As I sat at the computer thinking hard about what my title should be I couldn't help wondering if this would be worth my time. A title is an embodiment of the person as a whole, of their life and their story, and of the content and goal of the blog itself. I wanted to do more then go on and on about my daily life, droning like myself and other people do on facebook about what they are cooking or the errands they have to run this particular day. I wanted to dive deeper into my God given writing abilities and use them to tell anyone willing to read it about who I am and what I do. Being a young mother in our society and a navy wife are enough to write a plethora of novels. Add the great support and accomplishments of my at-home business team and I think a blog is just the ticket!

I am a healthy woman living in a healthy and green home thanks to the Melaleuca products. I am a wealthy woman in spirit, family, and joy. I am a member of a team that doesn't know my face but supports me and helps me to acheive my goals. We give each other email high fives all the time. Its our thing. Wise just wasn't right... I am still learning and eager to high five the members that are taking this journey of wealth and health with me, be they older and wiser or green, just like me!

Thank you for your curiousity; welcome to my world!
