My first ever give away: Be entered to win a $20 Target gift card!

Is an hour of your time and attention worth a $20 target giftcard?

I am excited to be putting together my first ever give away this Christmas season in celebration of my two year anniversary working for myself and using better, safer products in my home!

It's as easy as the pie we all just stuffed into our bellies for Thanksgiving to get your name in the hat! Just attend an online presentation with me between now and December 15th. A winner will be drawn on December 16th, then contacted and announced on my blog. I will rush the gift card to the winner just in time for a few last minute Christmas gifts or a simple self indulgence! Two runners up will receive a product gift as well!

Just email me or give me a call to set up your appointment! Emily Moore 530-410-2734.

Aside from a fun give away, I hope this is a great opportunity for all the people I know and love to see what I have been dedicated to for two years and to consider bettering their health, home and financial freedom as a part of my team. I firmly believe everyone should rid their homes of name brand, malignant-chemical based products and discover the power of natural ingredients as a cost effective alternative!

I hope everyone had a Thanksgiving of love and light and that those who dared to venture out on Black Friday survived this morning's chaos!

Mikayla has arrived!

Yep, our bundle of joy, so secretive until October 18th, came out a little girl.
Meet Mikayla Renee.
Taken by c-section on Oct. 18th at 11:14am, 8 lbs, 10 ozs, 20.5 inches long.

I can't believe I have taken a break from work for almost two weeks! Tomorrow Mikayla will be two weeks old. Its time to try to get life back to normal and on some sort of schedule again. Now that Nolan is going back to work, I feel like I need to get structure back into my day. Of course I am still recovering from surgery and moving slower then normal. Thank GOD I have everything I need right here at home: God, support from friends and co-workers, and Melaleuca to bring income without taking both my beautiful girls to a childcare provider!

Brylie is loving being a big sister. This is a huge relief off my heart! I am so thankful I get to be home with both of them.

This is THE month for anyone that is interested in joining my team and making money from home like I am! The incentives are phenomenal and cost even more minimal then normal! Please, if you have ever considered the information I have talked about or LOVE these products like I do, make November the month you reach your goals with my help!

Unwrap yourself from yourself!

Two weeks ago, I told you about managing your money... were you listening? :)

Topics escaped me last week. For a week now, I have been anticipating my baby coming into the world. Not the outcome. My due date was Saturday and here I am, still getting kicked in the ribs while my mother lounges around the house and my dad is by the phone waiting to know when to head north. I have all but avoided facebook because having my 375 friends ask me if I have had the baby yet is a bit overwhelming. And I feel guilty because quite frankly I want my body back and this little one in my arms. Reassurance that this is normal makes it better to handle.

But enough of my pity party, I really want to share a great concept with all of you! Did you know that if we each encouraged each other, the world would be a better place? This may seem rudimentary to some of you, but seriously consider the worldly changes that would occur if we routinely and deep planted encouragement for others above ourselves into our personalities. This concept is also biblical. "Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up," 1 Thes. 5:11a. I am still reading 25 Ways to Win with People by John Maxwell and Les Parrott. I can't emphasis how much I am enjoying this book! "Chapter 13: Keep your eyes off the mirror" really hit home for me. Focusing on others, serving them rather then focusing on yourself not only makes others "feel like a million bucks" but also turns aside any and all intentions we have as well as gets us to stop being selfish. AKA, no more pity parties! Haha.

Put it to practice with me this week:
-Focusing on others can give you a sense of purpose, contentment, build up energy for your tasks.
-Ask yourself: What can I do to forget myself and focus on others?
-Set your needs aside and do something specific, today, that will help you keep your eyes off the mirror.
-Remember: Success in life has everything to do with what you do for others!

My plan of action: Focus on my daughter, sister in law and two close friends in need. Pray for online mommy friends having a hard time. Change thought processes on two situations and try not to take a ego-centric view in both of them. Share my home business with people but focus on their needs before I introduce them to the company. Meditate and speak with God about my selfishness and ask him to take it away.

My home business focuses on other, which is why I LOVE my team. We are about helping each other and helping others to achieve goals and in doing so, we reap benefits that go beyond the financial gain that we get as a side bonus. Do you want to help others and serve on a great team? Do you want to take care of the environment and make your home safer and better for your family and yourself? If so, please email me and let me help you get started!

"I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know; the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found out how to serve." ~Albert Schweitzer; Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Doctor, and Theologian.

Striving past debt: Master your money!

Should America's enslavement to money be billed to over-stimulation of marketing or a major lack in self control? Truth be told, no one can pin down a single agent to Americans biggest adversity today. But the statistics on household and personal debt are, literally, taxing. Click here for some insane facts.

The truth is a lot of people just don't know where the money is going or they aren't realistic about what they spend each month. My husband and I went to a budgeting consultation because we recently inherited a car loan payment from a co-signing situation and wanted some advice on how to survive until we could sell it. While our situation wasn't ideal, the good humored counselor told us he was hopeful because we at least know how to sacrifice one thing for another and where every penny is going. "I had one couple that should have had over a grand each month sitting in savings. They had no clue where it was spent!" I chuckled. Like a lot of families in our country, I couldn't imagine having that much extra cash each month. It would be a gift! The great news is as I continue to work with my home business team, I am on my way to making that much extra money each month and more!

Here are some helpful hints to mastering your money:
~ Write it all down: As soon as you get paid, write down every single thing you spend money on in a small notebook. Then figure out how much you are spending on necessities such as food, gas, rent, etc... You will be amazed sometimes how much more you are spending then you realize in one or more areas!

~ Be honest with yourself: If you know you spend more on alcohol, fast food, etc then you can truly afford, face the music and make an effort to right it. Your wallet will thank you! And perhaps your body will too!

~ Sense the patterns: Chances are you have a bill that's always late or something that never seems to get covered with your pay check. Pay that first or before you spend any money on retail items.

~Use cash: One great suggestion my friend Leslie made was to cash check or pull out paycheck in cash and use envelopes to divide the money. Plastic makes it so easy for us to just swipe and go. When we are using cash, we are more aware of our money and we prioritize what we spend it on.

~ Karate Chop your debt: Pay just a little more on those credit cards each month, and stash the plastic out of your purse or wallet! If its not there, you won't use it! Plus, every extra dollar you pay ahead on a revolving credit type account will be less interest later! (Average interest paid PER YEAR on a credit card in America is over $1000!!! I would much rather pay that money off on my balance, wouldn't you?)

We all have our vices: fast food (a big one for Americans), coffee house stops, chocolate (one of mine as of late), rec vehicles and weekend entertainment. Rising costs don't help the debt situation either. We all are dipping deeper in our pockets to survive. Just know, we aren't in it alone and there is help out there! "Seek and ye shall find!" And if you happen to be a military family, I happen to know a lot of resources. And if you want to work from home, ask me how I am doing it and striving for a brighter financial future!

Until next week!

Saturday's Early Morning Conversion

The fact that I am about to say this will shock those that know me best. The last several days, I have awaken with my husband at a time that up 'til now most would consider the "butt crack of dawn", that is, while it is still dark. And frankly, I have enjoyed it. Yes, enjoyed it. Up until now, my habits leaned toward a perky evening type. But sitting at my desk I have seen a world unknown to night owls and late sleepers, a time when the world is vulnerable and calm. Sipping my tea, I have watched the sky dress itself in the most brilliant of pinks and oranges and used the bay as its lively mirror. And off of that mirror danced a breeze that provoked the trees, our patio umbrella, and all the fluffy seeds of our yards' dandelions into a lively rising. (Nolan may not appreciate that last bit next time he mows. :) )

Maybe it is the lovely picture God has painted this morning. Or maybe it is the half an hour of time I get before my munchkin wakes up to focus on my day and God. Or perhaps it is the fact that rising early gives me the opportunity to serve my husband by making his coffee and lunch and enjoying a few moments in his exclusive company. Whatever the reason, I am sensing a shift in my habits and a strength in my marriage.

Along with this proclamation of discovery, I began to wonder if there was any other reason why I should make this a permanent habit. On September 17, the Telegraph published a health article confirming my curiosity: early risers are less likely to be depressed or obese. (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8763618/Early-risers-get-ahead-of-the-game.html)

Now I am a stay at home mom who home schools with no where to go early in the morning, but even parents who are on the go first thing in the morning have great reasons to go to bed earlier and get up just a little earlier then necessary. They tend to be more proactive, self aware, organized, and successful at work. Click for source.

Not that night owls aren't on to something, as they tend to be the perfect yang to early risers' ying. Whichever you choose, may it do you well. But for this Mama, I think this beautiful Saturday morning may have converted me. :)

Initiate Memories

A wonderful book 25 Ways to Win with People by John Maxwell and Les Parrott had a chapter that could easily speak to the heart of any human being. They stated we shouldn't be so complacent in life to wait for awesome moments to happen, but instead take the reins ourselves and initiate them and create special memories with people. What a concept!

There are so many benefits to reminiscing on fond memories, including promoting positive emotions and connecting with others on a very personal level. But you can only do this if you have positive memories to reflect on.

"Few things bond people together like a shared memory. Soldiers who battle together, teammates who win a championship, and work teams that hit their goals share a connection that never goes away." (Pg. 26, Maxwell)

Since when are we required to wait for those moments to happen? Take the time to make it happen, and if you don't have the time, don't bother. Give what it takes to make that connection; don't set a boundary that could cut the memory or the special bond short. Limitless possibilities for special encounters will open up if you give yourself the time needed. Just imagine where this could lead... drawing you closer to your children, spouse or other family members. Strengthening work connections and team mates. Meeting strangers who become life long friends! And don't forget the mementos to relive the wonderful moments over and over either in your own mind or with that special person. Its like your own secret.

I know I am looking forward to making this a part of my business team and my relationship with my daughter. My husband and I already play this out and I know our relationship is stronger for it.

Have a great week!

It's Monday right?

Sure I could blame prego brain for my spacey realization that today is, in fact, Tuesday. But what sort of blog-ist would I be? Okay, so I missed my Monday writing, but lets all face it, everyone thought of today at Monday and will feel as though the week is short when we hit Friday for a new weekend. That being said, I still want to take the time to say "Happy Monday" to all my readers, and also to say I hope you all had a great weekend.

I often hear, especially among military families such as ours, that the men "make the money" and the woman spend it. Even this afternoon my husband jokingly said, "isn't it funny how I always ask you for money for a car part, as though I need your permission? I mean, I bring home the paycheck!" I laughed at him and responded, "Hey, if you want the headache of paycheck budgeting, you can have it." And, of course, he refused! It was all in fun, but it got me thinking. Not only do more then 60% of American wives and/or moms balance the checkbook, pay bills, and make decisions when things need to be arranged for a sudden expense. They also must have a major sway on their children and the money management skills that are acquired.

'"Moms do handle a lot of the day-to-day spending decisions, and that's what kids see," says Patricia Seaman, a spokeswoman for the National Endowment for Financial Education. "When they're young, they are dragged to everything with mom, for school, shopping for groceries, for clothes, to the garden center and to the ATM. It's not just spending decisions. They may also be exposed to money handling habits, like using cash or credit cards or checks," Seaman says.' For source, click here.

I know all of us must have paydays that we are pulling our hair out. My last one was like this. Debt might be part of the problem, or bad planning for big expenses like vehicle registration (as was my case). But a scary concept is what my daughter learns by seeing my reactions or the way I shop. We may all need to examine the way we are influencing our kiddos in this VERY important subject that is often overlooked. If we don't tell them the danger of interest rates or credit cards, who will? If we don't show them to plan ahead and save, will they make the mistake of spending all that they have all the time?

I am thankful that I have thought of this so that I can make the effort to show Brylie the "way that she should go" [proverbs 22:6] when it comes to her finances. In the same way I tell her everything daddy makes for us at work is really Gods, so too, should I show her the best way to use it as God would want us to.

And lastly, I am so thankful that I can show her that hard work and making money doesn't have to be separate from family and home. My home business is showing her that I can make money and still be here to home school her, play with her, and take care of our home. What mother, child, or hard working dad for that matter, doesn't love the concept of that?

Starting fresh and staying spry in September

There is a shift that hits each person on September 1st. Its as though change has taken on a persona and spoken like a friend to everyone. Not only does nature get the memo, changing colors and temperatures but our society does as well. Even in our house where my daughter is still too young to go to school, its as though a sharp charge has rolled through and she is ready to learn. Which is good considering I plan to home pre-school her this year.

Not only am I taking on personal goals like becoming Brylie's mentor in her learning abilities, get my house in order for the baby coming in five weeks, and keep myself healthy and in my weight gain goals for the baby, but I am looking forward to my business goals being accomplished as well. Never before has my heart been more ready for these changes. How am I doing this? Great products that give me a clean home, fresh energy each morning, and a business team that gives me hope and inspiration.

Now is the time to take action on your goals and your health! If this means more energy and a healthier mindset to get through the changes and start the school year off right, I can help. If this means that you need a extra or bigger income, I can help too! Ask me how you can earn $500 or more in the month of September working part time from home just like me.

Stay spry in September!

Aspartame... A sweet and silent Killer!

SWEET POISON

In October of 2001, my sister started getting very sick She had stomach spasms and she was having a hard time getting around. Walking was a major chore. It took everything she had just to get out of bed; she was in so much pain.
By March 2002, she had undergone several tissue and muscle biopsies and was on 24 various prescription medications. The doctors could not determine what was wrong with her. She was in so much pain, and so sick she just knew she was dying. She put her house, bank accounts, life insurance, etc., in her oldest daughter's name, and made sure that her younger children were to be taken care of. She also wanted her last hooray, so she planned a trip to Florida(basically in a wheelchair) for March 22nd.
On March 19, I called her to ask how her most recent tests went, and she said they didn't find anything on the test, but they believe she had MS. I recalled an article a friend of mine e-mailed to me and I asked my sister if she drank diet soda? She told me that she did. As a matter of fact, she was getting ready to crack one open that moment. I told her not to open it, and to stop drinking the diet soda! I e-mailed her an article my friend, a lawyer, had sent. My sister called me within 32 hours after our phone conversation and told me she had stopped drinking the diet soda AND she could walk! The muscle spasms went away. She said she didn't feel 100% but, she sure felt a lot better.
She told me she was going to her doctor with this article and would call me when she got home.
Well, she called me, and said her doctor was amazed! He is going to call all of his MS patients to find out if they consumed artificial sweeteners of any kind. In a nutshell, she was being poisoned by the Aspartame in the diet soda... and literally dying a slow and miserable death. When she got to Florida March 22, all she had to take was one pill, and that was a pill for the Aspartame poisoning! She is well on her way to a complete recovery. And she is walking! No wheelchair! This article saved her life.

If it says 'SUGAR FREE' on the label; DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!

I have spent several days lecturing at the WORLD ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE on 'ASPARTAME,' marketed as'Nutra Sweet,' 'Equal,' and 'Spoonful.' In the keynote address by the EPA, it was announced that in the United States in 2001 there is an epidemic of multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus. It was difficult to determine exactly what toxin was causing this to be rampant. I stood up and said that I was there to lecture on exactly that subject.
I will explain why Aspartame is so dangerous: When the temperature of this sweetener exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol in ASPARTAME converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis. Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants. The methanol toxicity mimics, among other conditions, multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus.
Many people were being diagnosed in error. Although multiple sclerosis is not a death sentence, Methanol toxicity is! Systemic lupus has become almost as rampant as multiple sclerosis, especially with Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi drinkers. The victim usually does not know that the Aspartame is the culprit. He or she continues its use; irritating the lupus to such a degree that it may become a life-threatening condition. We have seen patients with systemic lupus become asymptotic, once taken off diet sodas. In cases of those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, most of the symptoms disappear. We've seen many cases where vision loss re- turned and hearing loss improved markedly.
This also applies to cases of tinnitus and fibromyalgia. During a lecture, I said, 'If you are using ASPARTAME (Nutra Sweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc) and you suffer from fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting, pains, numbness in your legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches, tinnitus, joint pain, unexplainable depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss you probably have ASPARTAME poisoning!' People were jumping up during the lecture saying, 'I have some of these symptoms. Is it reversible?' Yes! Yes! Yes! STOP drinking diet sodas and be alert for Aspartame on food labels! Many products are fortified with it. This is a serious problem. Dr. Espart (one of my speakers) remarked that so many people seem to be symptomatic for MS and during his recent visit to a hospice; a nurse stated that six of her friends, who were heavy Diet Coke addicts, had all been diagnosed with MS. This is beyond coincidence!
Diet soda is NOT a diet product! It is a chemically altered, multiple SODIUM (salt) and ASPARTAME containing product that actually makes you crave carbohydrates. It is far more likely to make you GAIN weight!
These products also contain formaldehyde, which stores in the fat cells, particularly in the hips and thighs. Formaldehyde is an absolute toxin and is used primarily to preserve 'tissue specimens.' Many products we use every day contain this chemical but we SHOULD NOT store it IN our body!
Dr. H. J. Roberts stated in his lectures that once free of the 'diet products' and with no significant increase in exercise; his patients lost an average of 19 pounds over a trial period.
Aspartame is especially dangerous for diabetics. We found that some physicians, who believed that they had a patient with retinopathy, in fact, had symptoms caused by Aspartame. The Aspartame drives the blood sugar out of control.. Thus diabetics may suffer acute memory loss due to the fact that aspartic acid and phenylalanine are NEUROTOXIC when taken without the other amino acids necessary for a good balance.
Treating diabetes is all about BALANCE. Especially with diabetics, the Aspartame passes the blood/brain barrier and it then deteriorates the neurons of the brain; causing various levels of brain damage, seizures, depression, manic depression, panic attacks, uncontrollable anger and rage.
Consumption of Aspartame causes these same symptoms in non-diabetics as well. Documentation and observation also reveal that thousands of children diagnosed with ADD and ADHD have had complete turnarounds in their behavior when these chemicals have been removed from their diet.
So called 'behavior modification prescription drugs' (Ritalin and others) are no longer needed. Truth be told, they were never NEEDED in the first place! Most of these children were being 'poisoned' on a daily basis with the very foods that were 'better for them than sugar.'
It is also suspected that the Aspartame in thousands of pallets of diet Coke and diet Pepsi consumed by men and women fighting in the Gulf War, may be partially to blame for the well-known Gulf War Syndrome.
Dr. Roberts warns that it can cause birth defects, i.e. mental retardation, if taken at the time of conception and during early pregnancy. Children are especially at risk for neurological disorders and should NEVER be given artificial sweeteners. There are many different case histories to relate of children suffering grand mal seizures and other neurological disturbances talking about a plague of neurological diseases directly caused by the use of this deadly poison.'
Herein lies the problem: There were Congressional Hearings when Aspartame was included in 100 different products and strong objection was made concerning its use. Since this initial hearing, there have been two subsequent hearings, and still nothing has been done. The drug and chemical lobbies have very deep pockets.
Sadly, MONSANTO'S patent on Aspartame has EXPIRED! There are now over 5,000 products on the market that contain this deadly chemical and there will be thousands more introduced. Everybody wants a 'piece of the Aspartame pie.' I assure you that MONSANTO, the creator of Aspartame, knows how deadly it is. And isn't it ironic that MONSANTO funds, among others, the American Diabetes Association, the American Dietetic Association and the Conference of the American College of Physicians?
This has been recently exposed in the New York Times. These [organizations] cannot criticize any additives or convey their link to MONSANTO because they take money from the food industry and are required to endorse their products.
Senator Howard Metzenbaum wrote and presented a bill that would require label warnings on products containing Aspartame, especially regarding pregnant women, children and infants. The bill would also institute independent studies on the known dangers and the problems existing in the general population regarding seizures, changes in brain chemistry, neurological changes and behavioral symptoms.
The bill was killed.
It is known that the powerful drug and chemical lobbies are responsible for this, letting loose the hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting and uninformed public. Well, you're informed now!

Melaleuca VS. MLM

Almost every person I talk to about Melaleuca asks me if this is one of those "pyramid things." Then I proceed to tell them the differences. Here is a great article with in-depth details on the things I tell everyone.

Melaleuca: The Perfect Fit

Twenty-three years ago I was a young father living in a small community trying to make ends meet. I owned a retail sporting goods store, worked as a flyfishing guide, and tried to support my community and keep balance with my wife and family. But I never had enough money and my cheese, as they say, was constantly moving.
Early in March 1988, I was introduced to Melaleuca, and that introduction changed my life. But at the time, I was like so many of you were when you first heard about Melaleuca—I was skeptical. I had thoughts like, "Is this multi-level marketing?" "How are they going to try to swindle me out of my money?" "Is this a pyramid scheme?"
Twenty-three years later, a lot of things haven't changed: Customers can still be skeptical about Melaleuca, and there are still major differences that separate Melaleuca from the MLM companies.

I recently sat down with Executive Director III Jeff Stutz and Executive Director III Paulette Magaw to talk about those differences. We discussed questions like, "How is Consumer Direct Marketing different from MLM?" "Why doesn't MLM work? "What makes Melaleuca such a viable business today?"

Let me share with you what Jeff and Paulette shared with me:
Jeff: When Paulette Magaw and I teamed up together and I began to invest my time and energy into building my own Melaleuca business it was important for me to help those in my circle of professional colleagues to clearly see what Melaleuca is. It's unfortunate, but very true, that Melaleuca gets thrown in the bucket of MLM companies by people who just don't know any better.

Why does that happen? Here are four reasons:
1) Referral Marketing: We introduce people to our brand of products through word-of-mouth advertising. We also believe that if a product is good, it should sell itself. Unfortunately for us, that means when I call friends and tell them that I am excited to share something with them, they immediately, think to themselves, "Oh brother, it must be one of those things."
2) Commissions are Paid on Multiple-Referral Generations: When customers purchase products, their entire support team participates in a percentage of commissions. This, of course, is not unlike any other sales organization. However, when combined with referral marketing, our friends also see it as a potential pyramid scheme.
3) Presentations: We educate consumers on the value of shopping with us. Presentations are a way to communicate an idea or concept. This is not unlike any business presentation or television commercial trying to convey value. However, multi-level-marketers are constantly inviting people to come to "a meeting." This brings with it all the negative connotations in the MLM industry—that they sell the dream of making a lot of money, yet deliver nothing but disappointment with time and money wasted. Melaleuca presentations introduce products to customers and the business concept to those interested.
4) Home-Based Business: We work from our home offices. We have flexible hours, and we enjoy the benefits of being our own bosses. However, when we talk about a home office or business, we once again get thrown in that bucket.
These four similarities to MLM are my biggest challenges in just setting the appointment. Because of that challenge, Paulette and I began to refine our message to be clear—crystal clear! We need the skeptical people to get through the fog so they can see who and what we really are. Because Melaleuca is the first and only manufacturer to accomplish what we have with our business model we can easily set ourselves apart in the marketplace.
Paulette: One of the key ways you can begin to change someone's paradigm about who we are at Melaleuca is in the language we use. Language is so powerful; it literally paints a picture in the mind. You simply cannot use MLM language and then try to tell someone that we are different.

Here are a few phrases and words, and some potential alternatives:
Instead Of..................... We use...
Business Opportunity VS Business Concept
Join or get in VS Open your shopping account
Place an order each month VS Monthly shopping, Switch stores, Try our brand first
If you're interested VS If you see what I see
Upline Support Team Downline VS Business partners, Team, Organization
Break a Director VS Develop a Director
Show the plan VS Present the concept
People VS Customers

The Next Key Point when approaching is to keep your energy non-defensive.
When someone asks you, "Is this MLM?" or "Is this like Amway?" the best response is to smile and say:
"No it's not, but you know what, I thought the same thing when I was asked to take a look at this. Melaleuca is actually America's first Consumer Direct Marketing company. We're the first to do business quite this way. It's tough sometimes being the first—there's nothing to compare us to. So I think it's natural to automatically throw us in that bucket. But let me help you understand who we are: Melaleuca is a manufacturing company, so if you need to categorize us in your mind, put us in the group as Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Centrum, Gatorade, Clinique and other major manufacturers competing for market share in the economy."

Again, non-defensive. Simply tell them who we are (instead of what we're not) using business language.

To me, the most critical piece to helping someone understand who we are is to appeal to their business mind. I will say "You know Bob, when you peel back the layers of what really defines a company and filter it through your business mind, everything changes. Why don't we take a look at what really defines a company: Their products, business model, what and who it was built for and how the money flows."

By their own definition, MLM companies focus on the "money" and the "opportunity." Products aren't the focus. Long-term market share is not the goal, because that's not what it was built for as there isn't enough value (price, quality, performance) to compete for a consumer's brand loyalty.
With most MLMs, the products are overpriced (such as a $40 bottle of juice) and the majority of them are sold to those who "join to sell." And once they stop pursuing the "opportunity," a very small percentage continue to buy the products at all.
Contrast that with Melaleuca where the focus is squarely on the products, in fact, the products ARE the business. Everything about Melaleuca is improving the value of our brand and authentically competing for market share. That's what Melaleuca was built for: to compete for, and grab market share from the giants in the market.
Probably the most telling fact is the high percentage of customers who do not build a Melaleuca business. They are with us for the products, not to earn a check. I've been a Melaleuca customer for nearly 12 years and there are hundreds of customers still shopping in my business who enrolled over a decade ago. Wow! Real people, buying real products they really want. That's the key.

For many, the clear light-bulb moment happens when we sit with them and "follow the money." When you look at the MLM business model, the bulk of the money comes from a large buy-in (which you pay upfront to "join"), inventory to resell and promotional volume. Then to continue to fund "the plan," each distributor is required to set up a large "auto-ship" or to purchase a large volume of product. These monthly commitments range from $120 to $240 per month. Again, filter this through your business mind: Is there enough value in the product to hold the consumer? The obvious answer is "no."
Let's contrast Melaleuca's business model and how the money flows. Because the focus is all on the value of the brand, the money comes from brand loyalty and repeat purchase.

Consumers shop with us because we are their brand of choice. Twenty-five years in business with a 95-percent documented monthly reorder rate paints the picture that Melaleuca is driven by end-line consumption, based on authentic products that have enough value to hold the consumer.
Time and time again we hear this from customers we sit with and who we walk through this business formula: "I never really knew what Melaleuca was—I just assumed it was a MLM. I totally get it now."

As we go out building our Melaleuca business, the primary ingredient is posture, quiet confidence, being proud of who we are and what we do. The bottom line is we, as Marketing Executives, can actively compete for market share against other top manufacturers with our business partner, Melaleuca.

The ideal partner would give you what Melaleuca already gives us:
1. Company already competing in the marketplace
2. Manufacturer—not a reseller
3. Science-based non-grocery consumables
4. Green, eco-friendly
5. 25 years old
6. Nearly $1 billion in sales
7. Documented 95 percent month-to-month reorder rate
8. Debt free
9. Inc. 500 Hall of Fame
10. Better Business Bureau Hall of Fame MELALEUCA IS NOT MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING

Cruising, burning, and nesting

I just returned from my first ever cruise. Our party of ten danced, shopped and partied our way through four Caribbean ports: Cayman Grand, Belize, Honduras, and Cozumel. Even though I was pregnant, I had one of the best vacations ever. Unfortunately, my skin took a beating. I tanned nicely, but began to peel. Once we got back to Miami, I exfoliated too soon and my new skin burned badly.

Upon getting home, I was to say the least, sore. Not only on my sun burnt shoulders, but also my hips and back were achy. I realized how much the baby had grown over my vacation. The all you can eat anytime buffet didn't help either.

Looking for a way to get my skin and aching body back to normal before I returned to work, I began sorting through the products I had on hand. Renew healed and soothed my burnt shoulders better then aloe vera, and Pain-a-trate is a miracle pain reliever in lotion form.

Our liquid Gold!

by Donna Davis, Senior Director with Melaleuca

When I first joined Melaleuca and heard everyone raving about Sol-U-Mel, I
really didn't understand how powerful a product this is. Now, our household
could not be without this wonderful product.

Sol-U-Mel is a 3-in-1 cleaner. It cleans and dissolves impossible-to-clean
stains. You can also add Sol-U-Mel to other Melaleuca cleaners as an
extender or cleaning booster, and it is a wonderful deodorizer and
freshener.

Full strength Sol-U-Mel is 10% Melaleuca Oil and has the highest
concentration of Melaleuca Oil of any of Melaleuca's cleaners. Full strength
Sol-U-Mel can remove even stubborn oil stains, crayon, chewing gum,
permanent magic marker, paint and ink. Dilute it with water for an
all-purpose, ready-to-use cleaner or deodorizer and freshener.

When you clean with Sol-U-Mel, the crisp fragrance of Melaleuca Oil
neutralizes lingering smells around the house. For deep odors like smoke,
mildew, or pets, just dilute Sol-U-Mel in water. Spray it into the air, onto
carpet or upholstery. Spray into closets and corners to eliminate any stale
smells. It's even great to get rid of mold and mildew.

There are so many uses for Sol-U-Mel and the following list has come from
many of our team members and other sources. I'm sure you have found some of
your own favorite uses you can add to the list.

AROUND THE HOUSE...

Gummy labels, chewing gum, tape, tar, tree sap, sticky residue etc. - use
Sol-U-Mel full strength as an effective solvent to remove any sticky stuff.

Mini-blinds - Mix 2 tablespoons of Tough & Tender and 1 capful of Sol-U-Mel
with 16 oz. of water to cut through the grimy dirt on blinds.

Wallpaper Removal - in a 16 oz spray bottle, mix 1 teaspoon Sol-U-Mel to
teaspoon Tough & Tender, fill with water. Spray area to help soften
wallpaper for easier removal.

Kitchen Odors - in a 16 oz spray bottle, add 1/3 cup Sol-U-Mel and fill with
water. Spray cutting boards, countertops etc. to eliminate onion, fish,
odors etc. This will also kill any germs as well.

Mold & Mildew - Mix 2 1/2 tablespoons of MelaMagic and 1 1/2 capfuls of
Sol-U-Mel with water in a 16 oz. spray bottle. Spray on surfaces like the
shower curtain and let sit for a few minutes. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Furnace Filter/Air Purification - The quality of the air you breathe in your
home may be robbing you of good health. Modern, energy efficient home, by
virtue of their air tight design, often trap chemical vapors in addition to
mold, fungus, yeast and bacteria from moist condensation in heating and
cooling ducts, soil from house plants, and under sink areas. There is a
literal zoo co-inhabiting our homes. Many respiratory, eye, ear, nose and
throat complaints appear in doctors' waiting rooms because of over exposure
to foul household air. Changes of season often shift populations of these
microbial species as growing conditions fluctuate. What can you do? Convert
your home to Melaleuca products, replacing toxic cleaning and personal care
products with safer Melaleuca products. The out gassing of toxic vapors from
these products significantly decreases air quality problems. Remove browning
leaves from house plants immediately and provide good drainage. Change
furnace and cooling air return filters monthly during extreme weather usage.
Spray all filters and vents often with diluted Sol-U-Mel. To do a Melaleuca
oil purge of your house every couple of months, attach an inverted open
bottle of T36-C5 on the furnace intake filter. The high air volume will
diffuse the entire contents of the bottle throughout your house over the
next 12 - 36 hours (depending upon temperature and relative humidity). This
treated air flows throughout all the rooms and stops the growth of bacteria,
molds, fungus and viruses.

Disinfectant Spray - In a 16 oz. spray bottle, mix 1/8 cup Sol-U-Mel, 1/8
cup MelaMagic to 1 3/4 cup water. Spray, wait, rinse and wipe clean. Great
for countertops and any surfaces around the house.

Floor - The above disinfectant spray mixture is also effective to spray or
wipe on the floor, or mix in a bucket and mop it up.

Plants - Add 1 tablespoon of Tough & Tender to 16 oz. of water, or use
diluted Sol-U-Mel. Spray on roses to kill aphids and other undesirables.
Sol-U-Mel will also clean moss or algae off your clay pots.

Carpet Cleaning - Mix 1/4 cup of PreSpot Plus, 1/2 cup MelaMagic and 1
tablespoon of Sol-U-Mel. Pour solution into the tray of the carpet cleaner.
Another recipe: Mix 1/2 cup Tough & Tender, 1/16 cup of MelaMagic, and 1/8
cup Sol-U-Mel in 1 gallon of water.

Carpet Vacuuming/Deodorization - Mix 1 1/2 capfuls of Sol-U-Mel with water
in a 16oz. spray bottle. Lightly spray carpet with diluted Sol-U-Mel, let
sit for 5 minutes and vacuum as usual.

IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM

Laundry Booster - Add one capful of Sol-U-Mel and add 2 - 4 caps of
MelaMagic to average wash load to deodorize and disinfect.

Oil Based Stains - Use Sol-U-Mel full strength on fabrics. Great to lift
paint stains too!

Degreaser - Mix a solution of 2 tablespoons of MelaPower and 1 capful of
Sol-U-Mel with 2 gallons of warm water. Put clothing in this solution and
let soak for a few hours. If the grease spots are not dissolved, apply a
squirt of Antibacterial Liquid Soap. Rub in and let stand for a few minutes
before rinsing with warm water. You can also add MelaMagic directly to the
wash water in the machine.

Ink - Apply Sol-U-Mel full strength to spot. Rub then rinse. Wash as normal.

Diaper Pail - Combine 1 oz. of Sol-U-Mel, 1/2 oz of MelaPower, 1/2 oz
MelaBrite. Add sufficient water to cover soiled diapers to soak overnight,
then wash with MelaPower and 1 oz. Sol-U-Mel in washing machine (PreSpot
stained areas). They will come out whiter, brighter and exceptionally fresh
smelling with this method. *For those parents who use disposable diapers,
spray diluted Sol-U-Mel mixture in garbage pail to deodorize and disinfect.

Toys - Washables (stuffed animals, dolls, blankets etc.) in machine with 1/8
cup of MelaPower and 1 capful of Sol-U-Mel. For all plastic toys etc., wash
in a sinkful of hot water mixed with 1 capful of Tough & Tender and
Sol-U-Mel to clean and disinfect.

PERSONAL CARE .

Bathing - 1 capful of Sol-U-Mel in bath water as initial therapy for dry
skin, rashes, dermatitis, diaper rash etc. Helps soothe and soften the skin.

Hot Tubs - No Melaleuca products, including T36-C5, Renew Bath Oil or
Sol-U-Mel should be used in an operating tub or permanent Jacuzzi tub.
Melaleuca alternifolia oil is not compatible with the filtration system in
these sophisticated environments. You can use Sol-U-Mel, Tub & Tile etc. in
cleaning the walls of a dry tub, but not when the system is filled.

Vaporizer/Humidifier - Add 1 tablespoon of Sol-U-Mel to water in a vaporizer
(or use a bowl of boiling water). Make a tent by draping a large towel over
the head and breathe directly over the vapors for 10 minutes, twice daily.
Sleep in a room with a vaporizer running all night. This also helps to clean
and purify the air. A cold mist humidifier can also be used. This remedy is
also effective for bronchitis and asthma.

Insect Relief - Mixture of a few drops of T36-C5 and 1 capful of Sol-U-Mel
diluted with water in a trigger sprayer. Spray onto clothes, skin and
outdoor areas as a safe and effective repellent. Another recipe: 1 teaspoon
of Tough & Tender with a capful of Sol-U-Mel and 1 capful of Renew Spa &
Bath Oil diluted with water in a trigger sprayer.

HEALTHY PETS .

Fleas - For general protection, wash all bedding in washing machine with 2
capfuls of Sol-U-Mel and 1/8 cup MelaPower. Add 2 oz. of Sol-U-Mel to 16 oz.
of water in trigger sprayer and apply to areas where dog or cat rests to
repel fleas and deodorize. Add a capful of Sol-U-Mel to bath water as well.

Fly Repellent (Livestock) - Mix 2 oz. of Sol-U-Mel with 16 oz. of water.
Spray directly on the animal. As mentioned above, works effectively on fleas
as well.

Hamsters, Gerbils, Guinea Pigs - To control odor in or around a small
animal's cage or to prevent communicable diseases, dab T36-C5 or spray a
1:20 diluted solution of Sol-U-Mel to the area 2 or 3 times each week.

Parakeets, Canaries or Tropical Birds - To prevent diseases among birds, use
a 1:100 dilution of Sol-U-Mel sprayed once per week to the absorbent fodder
material on the bottom of the cage. Spray each time the fodder is changed.
WARNING! Some exotic birds are sensitive to the aromatic oils in T36-C5.

Rabbits - To clean their cage, mix 2 oz. of Sol-U-Mel with 16 oz. of water.
Spray on cage and on the bottom tray to clean and deodorize. Scrub clean
with brush. Rinse with water.

Knowing what I want for myself and others

I am pregnant, and I am working out of the home to make ends meet. I thought I would enjoy meeting other people at work, having adult conversation and getting out of the house. Now I realize working is HARD! And even worse, I miss Brylie horribly and she "misses her mommy" every time she is upset at the babysitters. Do I want to pump breast milk and keep working when baby number two makes his/her way into the world? Absolutely not. The solution? It's right under my nose. Melaleuca and Internet CEO Moms. If I can make the income I make working my tail off out of home FROM HOME, then I would like to be home with Brylie and our new baby. And it will help Nolan feel better. He doesn't like that I have to work so hard.

This is a call out! Who else wants to be home and make an income? Who else wants to work with an awesome and supportive team, including me? Great incentives, but even better a future that is exciting and fulfilling!

The newest kind of new.... Everything's different!

A new house to move into? Slightly stressful.

A new state, town, and naval base? A little hampering.

Husband leaving me and my toddler for a month? Somewhat disheartening.

A new puppy, rainy weather, and weight gain all in a new year? Just. Plain. CRAZY!

And what does all three of these at the same time mean I will become tomorrow when Nolan leaves us at 8:30am? A mopey wife? A lazy whiner?

Absolutely NOT! I am eager to continue making our new house a home and await my knight's return. Oh and to continue telling everyone I meet about what great products my business has and the opportunity to work from home! Why? Because I believe that everyone has the right to know what they are using on their body and that they deserve to use the best at the best price!

What's new about my belief in this company? Not a thing. Because you can't fix the best there is! But they have again and repeatedly helped me in new situations. Sol-u-mel cleaned up Benelli's accidents and helped my husband's grease covered tools look new again. Tough and tender cleaner wipes helped clean up Brylie's nightmare bed wetting from awakening in a strange place. Lemon bright dish soap cleaned my new kitchen over and over and over. :D Now that I have a dishwasher, I get to use another awesome product when I place my next order! NO chemicals that can hurt anything and no worry!

I want to help everyone I know so if you are ready to know the truth and take better care of your home and family, ask me about Internet CEO Moms and what I do from home!
