Unwrap yourself from yourself!

Two weeks ago, I told you about managing your money... were you listening? :)

Topics escaped me last week. For a week now, I have been anticipating my baby coming into the world. Not the outcome. My due date was Saturday and here I am, still getting kicked in the ribs while my mother lounges around the house and my dad is by the phone waiting to know when to head north. I have all but avoided facebook because having my 375 friends ask me if I have had the baby yet is a bit overwhelming. And I feel guilty because quite frankly I want my body back and this little one in my arms. Reassurance that this is normal makes it better to handle.

But enough of my pity party, I really want to share a great concept with all of you! Did you know that if we each encouraged each other, the world would be a better place? This may seem rudimentary to some of you, but seriously consider the worldly changes that would occur if we routinely and deep planted encouragement for others above ourselves into our personalities. This concept is also biblical. "Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up," 1 Thes. 5:11a. I am still reading 25 Ways to Win with People by John Maxwell and Les Parrott. I can't emphasis how much I am enjoying this book! "Chapter 13: Keep your eyes off the mirror" really hit home for me. Focusing on others, serving them rather then focusing on yourself not only makes others "feel like a million bucks" but also turns aside any and all intentions we have as well as gets us to stop being selfish. AKA, no more pity parties! Haha.

Put it to practice with me this week:
-Focusing on others can give you a sense of purpose, contentment, build up energy for your tasks.
-Ask yourself: What can I do to forget myself and focus on others?
-Set your needs aside and do something specific, today, that will help you keep your eyes off the mirror.
-Remember: Success in life has everything to do with what you do for others!

My plan of action: Focus on my daughter, sister in law and two close friends in need. Pray for online mommy friends having a hard time. Change thought processes on two situations and try not to take a ego-centric view in both of them. Share my home business with people but focus on their needs before I introduce them to the company. Meditate and speak with God about my selfishness and ask him to take it away.

My home business focuses on other, which is why I LOVE my team. We are about helping each other and helping others to achieve goals and in doing so, we reap benefits that go beyond the financial gain that we get as a side bonus. Do you want to help others and serve on a great team? Do you want to take care of the environment and make your home safer and better for your family and yourself? If so, please email me and let me help you get started!
